Anirudh Ravichander on Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam Audio Launch: “Prepare Your Ears, Make Way for DNA”

For unknown reasons, composer Anirudh Ravichander and actor Dhanush stopped collaborating after the movie Thanga Magan (2015). The popular combo, affectionately known as “DnA”, is behind some hit hits like Kolaveri Di, Don’u Don’u, What A Karuvaad and Po Nee Po. movie events have been all the rage among fans, but everything has been on hold for the past seven years. However, now the two are back together for Dhanush’s upcoming film Thiruchitrambalam and they are set to perform at the audio launch event, which is set to take place in Chennai on Saturday.

In a special promotional video, Anirudh Ravichander opened up about DNA and said that this time they are back on a light, cheerful and happy note. The composer said: “I never thought I could compose for a film when I was 20. It happened. I think it was in my DNA. I understand that when you do something you love with a lot of love, other people will end up loving you.

Speaking about Dhanush, he added, “In this journey, one person made me realize that music was in my DNA…we’re coming back. This time… with a light, happy and cheerful note. Prepare your ears and make way for the DNA.

Sharing the video, Dhanush wrote, “See you soon Tom at Thiruchitrambalam (sic) audio launch.”

Three songs from the film – Thaai Kelavi, Megham Karukkatha and Life of Pazham – have been released on YouTube with good response. The fourth single, Thenmozhi, is expected to be released during the audio launch.

Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar, has Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj and Raashi Khanna in key roles. The film is set to be released on August 18.
