AUDIO: Mississippi State Fair officials have BIG things in store for you –

BMO in the MO’rning – I was fortunate enough to attend the Media Night for this year’s Mississippi State Fair last night. Additionally, I had the chance to tour the fairgrounds, see firsthand some of what to expect visitors to the show this year, and speak to Mississippi State Commissioner Andy Gipson as well as to the director of the fairgrounds Michael Lasseter.

I mentioned to Agriculture Commissioner Andy Gipson that he is polarizing, genuine, and that his passion and energy for the state of Mississippi and its agriculture could eclipse the sun. He has always remembered who I am and even with everything he has on his plate, he takes time for me during these events. The swagger he possesses is only comparable to that of the legendary John Wayne in my opinion and that is why I will call him and always refer to him as “The Duke”. We talked about a few topics last night and the audio is below.

Equally passionate about this time of year is Fairground Director Michael Lasseter, whose commitment to providing Mississippi residents with a safe, family environment and world-class entertainment is evident when you have the chance to speak. with him.

Commissioner Gipson explains why the State Fair is always one of his favorite times of the year.

This being my first state fair and hearing so much about cookies, I asked him if he really thought they were the best he had ever had?
