Britney Spears and Sir Elton John’s highly anticipated collab has leaked online.

Page Six reported last month that six years after the Princess of Pop’s last music release, she was making her comeback with the Rocket Man singer by her side.

Scheduled to be released by Universal Music this month, the US Sun has now reported that the newly recorded duo are already circulating on social media.

The song titled Hold Me Closer is said to be a medley of Tiny Dancer mixed in with samples of John’s other hit songs, including the 1992 track The One with Spears which is said to have sung a verse on the remix.

As the song was set for an official release in the coming days, some fans took to social media claiming they already had a copy of the single.

In an audio clip a fan posted to Twitter, a woman – believed to be Spears – can be heard chanting “Hold me closer Tiny Dancer” amidst other lyrics, but the Gimme More and John singer doesn’t. have yet to confirm the leak.

In response to the post, many of the pop icons’ hardcore fans denounced the leak and said it was “not right.”

One fan said, “Why leak it if she’s not happy with it?” while another said, “It’s not right. She works so hard,” in reference to the fact that Spears hasn’t released music since her 2016 album Glory.

Another replied bluntly: “Delete it.”

However, not everyone was so upset about the leak, with one saying “OMG I do”. With a second fan tweet, “she sounds so good.”

News of the collaboration first broke in July when a source told Page Six that the musicians secretly met in Beverly Hills to record a new version of the beloved 1971 track Tiny Dancer.

A source said: “It was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They recorded a remix of Tiny Dancer as a full duet – and it’s amazing.”

Adding, “Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by super-producer Andrew Watt.”

The source also claimed that the single “is going to be the song of the summer”, and those who have heard it before say “it’s so good”.

“Britney is officially back. She’s back at work and she’s super excited,” they said.

It comes after the Don’t Go Breaking My Hear singer collaborated with British pop star Dua Lipa to record the hit Cold Heart, which was a mashup of two of his songs, Rocket Man and Sacrifice.

The song quickly became a fan favorite, reaching number one on the New Zealand music charts, and was performed by both artists at their respective concerts this year.
