In-store deliveries and pickups begin for Apple’s new MacBook Air M2

Apple’s redesigned 2022 MacBook Air is now starting to arrive at the doorsteps of customers who pre-ordered the machine last week, with in-store pickup and general availability starting today for the 13.6-inch machine. powered by Apple’s latest custom M2 silicon chip.

Announced at WWDC with next-gen macOS update – macOS Venturathe all-new MacBook Air features a larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging and more in four new finishes: Midnight, Starlight, Silver and Space Gray .

Measuring just 11.3 millimeters thin and 2.7 pounds in weight, the new MacBook Air M2 is thinner than Apple’s original iPhone, with two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories, a 3 .5mm with support for high-impedance headphones, a full-height feature row with Touch ID, and Apple’s Force Touch trackpad.

The larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display is 25% brighter than the previous MacBook Air M1, offering more screen real estate, 500 nits of brightness, and support for 1 billion colors.

MacBook Air includes a new 1080p FaceTime HD camera with twice the resolution and low-light performance of the previous generation. The machine has a quad-speaker sound system and a more powerful 8-core CPU and up to 10-core GPU.

The new MacBook Air with M2 starts at $1,199 (US) and $1,099 (US) for Education.
